Qianhui's chingay reflection

A few weeks ago, me and my batch mates went for chingay 2014. Before going for the chingay, me and my friends were a bit reluctant as we thought it was just "wasting" one day of our weekend. However we were pleasantly shocked when we went there and realised how enthusiastic everyone were. We were seated quickly and I was happy that our seats were at the middle. I rummaged through the provided goodie bags and really liked the different things in it, for example a scarf, Pom Pom and many other interesting stuff. With that, the chingay started. There were so many people performing that I was thinking if how long did the preparations take. I am very very touched at their undying passion and hardwork. But I was more surprised when there were different races dancing to one of a particular race. For example Indians, Malays and Caucasians dancing to Chinese dance and vice versa. There were also some elderly people dancing to trendy music! This told me how united we all are, regardless or race, age or religion. I am very thankful for the chance to go to this event and I would surely want to go if there was such a chance like this again in the future.
