Jing Yan's colour, symbol, image for Chinese New Year

Colour : Red
Red stands for properity, wealth and luck. Many of the chinese new year decorations are all red, because they want us to suceed in life.

Symbol : 2 oranges
Traditionally, every year we exchange 2 oranges with our elders for ang paos. The oranges probably mean good luck for them too.

Image : 鱼生
在新年除夕的团圆饭我们通常捞鱼生。鱼生有不同的菜, 比如鱼代表年年有余,发菜代表我们要发财。所以捞鱼生对我们有很大的意义。
During the eve of chinese new year, we normally eat yusheng. Inside yusheng there are many ingredients with diffrent meaning, like fish stands for 年年有余(a chinese idiom which means to have good luck every year), 发菜(a kind of vegetable) stands for prosperity. Thats why eating yusheng is important for us.
