• official family planning policy to control the country's population.
• decrease population of China--> to ensure that families are able to afford financially to raise and educate the child
Postive effects:
1) Parents would have more time and effort to concentrate on 1 child
2) Parents would be financially more stable
3) Child would get full attention from parents
4) Parents will give their best to the child
Negative effects:
1) When the parents grow old, the child would have to single-handedly take care of his/her parents
2) Gaining all the attention, the child would be spoilt
3) Parents would pin high hopes on the child, causing more stress to them
4) The child would not be able to understand the art of giving and sharing, being more self-centered
In conclusion, the One Child Policy has its advantages and disadvantages. It depends on how other or the countries view it. The people of China believe that it causes more disadvantages but the government of China meant well to help the people to better cope with their finance.
